Anar Mammadov
Mr. Mammadov started his career in 1994 as a Commercial Director of “Avista” company, which is involved in publishing and distribution business. In 1997, after graduation from legal faculty of Baku State University and earning a postgraduate diplomat in Oil Supply and Trading from the College of Petroleum Studies in Oxford, UK, Mr. Mammadov joined Caspian Drilling Company (CDC) as a Corporate Attorney being responsible for government liaisons and providing analysis and counsel on legal and environmental issues. From 1998 till Aug 2007 Mr. Mammadov had been working for Milio International Limited, an independent commodity trading company as Business Development Manager followed by promotion to Regional Director position. In Milio, Mr. Mammadov was in charge of operations of the company in Caspian and Black Sea regions, crude oil and oil products transportation and trading. With a wealth of knowledge in law and energy industry Mr. Mammadov is currently with Carbonexis in charge of the Business Development of the company assessing and developing business opportunities globally. Mr. Mammadov is fluent in Azeri, Turkish, English and Russian languages. Member of Young Presidents Organisation since 2005.

Dr. Aref Altawam
Dr. Aref Altawam has over fifteen years of experience in operations, management and consulting in the fields of technology, engineering and energy. Dr. Altawam started his career in 1991 with ABB (US Operation) working in the development and operation of nuclear reactors for electric power generation. He led a team of engineers and scientist on research into the complex design and the development of nuclear spent fuel transportation and permanent storage systems, which resulted in a patented design and the only built system under approval by the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission. From 1993 to 1997, he served on ASCE Nuclear Energy Committee, a review group within ASCE for policy matters on nuclear energy. In 1997, Dr. Altawam joined ICM, a US telecommunication service provider and in 1999 became president and CEO. He directed the company growth by three folds and guided its expansion into new markets. In 2000, he helped co-found, NetOne International, an integrated communications provider, and directed the company to major achievements with over 50,000 customers across all fifty states in the US and reached key agreements with leading international carriers. In 2004, Dr. Altawam joined CIMA Holding (UK), as a managing director responsible for overseeing its various technology & telecommunications related holdings in the US and Europe, and coordinated M&A activities resulting in expansion into India and the UAE. Most recently, Dr. Altawam undertook various business consulting assignments and in mid 2006 joined the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as a National Project Director leading an ambitious program seeking to improve the investment environment in Syria and to attract Foreign Direct Investments, a project in cooperation between UNDP and the Syrian State Planning Commission & the office of the Prime Minister. Dr. Altawam completed his studies in the US and earned a Ph.D. in engineering from the University of Florida. He has served on several Boards of Directors.

Elkhan Taghizada
Mr. Taghizada started his career as a broker on Azerbaijan Commodity exchange in 1991.
In 1992 he joined “Inpatbank” where he had been working for four years taking positions from Head of International Relations Department to Deputy Chairman of Board. From 1997 to 2000 Mr. Taghizada was a Commercial Director of “BA” LLC, where he was in charge or the company’s marketing and trading strategy. In 2000, Mr. Taghizada became General Representative of Milio Commodity Services Limited, independent oil and oil products trading company, in Azerbaijan. Mr. Taghizada’s responsibilities included sourcing and trading of oil and products from Caspian region countries like Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan, operations and logistics of oil transportation and transshipment. After Milio, in 2006, Mr. Taghizada joined Arcadia Petroleum Limited, UK based commodity trading company, as a Business Development Manager. Currently Mr. Taghizada is with Arxiel’s team as Business Development Manager for Carbonexis- CIS operations.

Sally Tode
Ms. Tode is the Chief Accountant for Arxiel Ventures. Previously, Ms. Tode worked for Relate North East London Limited, a national UK registered charity as their Financial Accountant. Ms. Tode was the Financial Controller for City Deal Services Limited, a subsidiary of Abbey National, a leading UK bank. Ms. Tode holds a Bachelors of Science in Economics with a major in Accountancy. Ms. Tode is a Chartered Accountant and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Ms. Tode’s experience also includes special investigation and reporting role for Foo Kon Tan Grant Thornton, Chartered Accountants, the Singapore member firm of Grant Thornton International; working as the Financial Controller for Hyder Consulting Sdn Bhd, the Malaysian office of Hyder Consulting Ltd, a UK Engineering Consultancy; and the Senior Internal Audit Manager for the financial services division of MBf Holdings Plc, Malaysia. Ms. Tode has extensive external and internal audit experience and she had worked in the UK, Hong Kong and Singapore.
